1. Our Commitment to Accessible Travel
Nibe Aeronautics Limited is dedicated to providing premium, bespoke air travel experiences. We recognize that Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) and Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM) have the same rights to travel with dignity and independence.
As a General Aviation/ Non Schedule (Charter) operator utilizing specialized aircraft, our operations differ significantly from scheduled airlines.
*Please note that our aircraft are configured with passenger seating only and do not carry cabin crew members.*Because our service is personalized, we require detailed information regarding your specific needs at the time of booking to ensure a safe, comfortable, and seamless journey within the operational limitations of our aircraft.
2. Requesting Assistance
To ensure we can accommodate you safely, all requests for special assistance must be made directly with our charter sales team at the time of booking.
- Advance Notice: While we always strive to accommodate last-minute requests, we strongly recommend providing *48 hours advance notice* before the scheduled departure time to allow us to make necessary logistical arrangements (e.g., arranging ground handling support at non-standard airports, specialized ramp equipment).
- Nature of Disability: *Please inform our team of the nature of your disability and the specific assistance required during:
- Arrival and Departure Terminal.
- Boarding the aircraft.
- In-flight (within the limits of two-pilot operation with no cabin crew).
- Disembarking.
3. Acceptance of Passengers with Disability
Nibe Aeronautics will not refuse to carry persons with disabilities, provided:
- The passenger has informed Nibe Aeronautics of their requirement(s) at the time of booking.
- The carriage can be safely accomplished within the operational constraints of the specific aircraft utilized.
*NOTE ON AIRCRAFT LIMITATIONS (PREMIER 1A CLASS):*
Our light jet aircraft feature airstair entries and cabin aisles that may not accommodate standard rigid wheelchairs. Furthermore, these aircraft has separate lavatories for emergency usages. For safety, passengers must be able to transfer from a wheelchair to the aircraft passenger seat, either on their own or with the assistance of their own travel companion/escort.
4. Travel with an Escort / Companion
Depending on the nature of your disability, Nibe Aeronautics may require that you travel with an able-bodied adult companion (escort) who is 18 years or older. The escort is responsible for providing physical assistance during embarkation, disembarkation, in-flight, and during emergency evacuations.
An escort is mandatory if the passenger:
- Is unable to comprehend or respond appropriately to safety instructions from the pilot(s) due to a mental or sensory impairment.
- Is unable to assist in their own evacuation from the aircraft in an emergency.
- Has a severe mobility impairment that prevents them from transferring from a wheelchair to the aircraft seat unassisted.
- Has significant medical needs that require attention during the flight (which the pilot is not authorized to provide).
*Please Note: As there is no cabin crew, our pilots cannot provide physical assistance for lifting, feeding, or using the lavatory.*
5. Services Offered at the Airport
In coordination with the ground handling agents at the departure and arrival airports, Nibe Aeronautics will facilitate:
- Access to the Airport terminal
- Assistance with baggage check-in (if applicable).
- Transportation from the terminal to the aircraft door (where permitted by airport authority).
- Assistance boarding the aircraft via the aircraft stairs.
6. Wheelchair and Assistive Device Policy
6.1. Manual Collapsible Wheelchairs
We gladly accept manual, fully collapsible wheelchairs and other small assistive devices (canes, crutches, walkers).
- These must be stowed in the aircraft baggage compartment.
- Due to the limited space in light jets like the Premier 1A, *we must be notified of the dimensions and weight of the wheelchair in advance* to ensure it fits.
- Assistive devices are carried free of charge and do not count toward the normal baggage allowance.
6.2. Battery-Operated Wheelchairs Prohibited
*IMPORTANT OPERATIONAL CONSTRAINT:*
Due to the lack of authorized dangerous goods certification for our passenger cabins and the specific design of our baggage compartments, *Nibe Aeronautics is not authorized to transport battery-operated wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or any battery-powered mobility aids.* This applies to both spillable and non-spillable (dry cell/gel cell) batteries.
7. Stretchers, Incubators, and Medical Oxygen
7.1. Stretchers and Incubators
*Nibe Aeronautics is not equipped to carry stretchers or medical incubators.* Consequently, we cannot accept bookings that require these accommodations.
7.2. Medical Oxygen
We do not carry gaseous medical oxygen for passenger use onboard. Passengers requiring continuous oxygen are not permitted to travel on our aircraft.
8. No Pets or Animals Onboard
*OPERATIONAL CONSTRAINT:*
*Nibe Aeronautics is not authorized to carry live animals of any kind onboard its aircraft.* This includes pets, emotional support animals, and trained service animals (guide dogs). Due to the configuration of our aircraft and the absence of cabin crew to monitor animals in-flight, we cannot accept bookings that require the transport of any animal.
9. Medical Clearance
Passengers requiring special assistance due to a medical condition or disability are generally not required to provide a medical certificate.
However, Nibe Aeronautics reserves the right to require a medical certificate or deny carriage if:
- The passenger’s condition is such that there is reasonable doubt that they can complete the flight safely without requiring extraordinary medical assistance during the flight.
- The passenger has a communicable disease or infection that poses a direct threat to the health or safety of the flight crew.
- The passenger’s physical condition prevents them from being seated in a standard aircraft seat with the seatbelt fastened.
10. Seating Accommodation
Our pilots will assign seats in the main cabin that are most suitable based on the passenger's needs.
- In compliance with safety regulations, passengers with disabilities will *not* be seated in an emergency exit row if their presence would impede the crew in performing their duties, obstruct access to emergency equipment, or restrict emergency evacuation.
- Because our aircraft do not have cabin dividers or bulkheads in the traditional sense, all seating is considered accessible relative to the cabin entry.
11. Boarding and Disembarkation
To ensure privacy, dignity, and safety, passengers requiring assistance will generally be boarded before other passengers and disembarked after other passengers have left the terminal area.
12. Passenger Grievance Redressal
Nibe Aeronautics is committed to ensuring a premium service. If you feel our accessibility provisions have not been met, please contact our designated Nodal Officer.
- *Nodal Officer Contact Details:* Available upon request and displayed in our Passenger Charter document / Flight Brief
- *Feedback Channel:* You may submit feedback via email to charters@ibeaeronautics.com
